Halaburt Kitchen

The Halaburts sought a big change for their dated kitchen. The “before” picture shows stark white cabinetry, black countertops and white tile floors. Oneida Builders created a warm, elegant space by enlarging the kitchen to encompass the sunroom, and choosing rich, warm colors throughout. The kitchen now features Alder cabinets with a Mandarin finish and a stone backsplash with glass inserts that catch the light and add a subtle sparkle to the room. Countertops are Persian Brown Granite, and the walls are covered in Svelt Sage paint by Duron. Prior to renovation, the adjacent sunroom and the variation of floor covering chopped up the space. Oneida Builders pulled up the kitchen tile and the sunroom carpet and laid down hardwoods in both rooms for a cohesive, continuous look. The vaulted sunroom offers plenty of natural light, the convenience of a built-in desk, and now serves as the family’s casual dining retreat.
